Let’s get the spookiness out the way first though, you ghostbotherers… Here’s another (increasingly rare!) chance to catch the Gillan Edgar Trio out and about in the wilds of downtown Manchester. Pounding out the beat on Peter Street, we’ll be taking requests at the speed of pop – there’s two breakneck sets of half an hour each so you’ve got to get in quick! Typically we’re on at 8 and 9pm, free entry to all who fancy some choice beers, hearty food and winter-plumage tunage. We had a fantastic time at the ‘inaugural’ Comedy Store showcase last friday – with loads of you in attendance helping to make it a great night. Some excellent suggestions from the crowd ensured an interesting mix of music, and by all accounts you seemed to get a good idea of how versatile the Gillan Edgar Party Band can be. The calendar is filling up as we speak! Just returned from a stint at Papalla bar in Zermatt, Switzerland, in the shadow of the iconic Matterhorn (the mountain that inspired the Paramount Pictures logo). Returned to a weekend of weddings and last minute gigs, so today is blanked out in the diary for ‘Recuperation’ (ie. time to tackle the garden… thank heaven for the nailgun).
