If you’re looking for a fantastic, full sounding, energetic band to make sure your wedding reception or party goes off with a bang, look no further than the Gillan Edgar Band. We pride ourselves on being unlike a typical Wedding Band – we aim to deliver our firebrand guitars and layered harmonies with a passion that’s lacking in a lot of bands we’ve seen on the circuit. We love playing live, and that attitude feeds the energy of any crowd we’re performing for; be it a wedding, Christmas party, corporate event or just a good old knees up at one of our public gigs. We had a blast getting this little promo vid done with Rebecca Reville Videography. A blustery January evening and a rack of lights got the atmosphere going in the larger annexe of Studio G. An exhausting but satisfying weekend of setting up, chatting, mingling, set dressing, performing and packing down; all in cuban heels designed more for posing than performing manual labour! If you want to see the band in full swing, we’re doing another showcase at the Comedy Store on 18th Feb – bring your requests down! Check out the details here – Comedy Store Showcase 2012

This song is familiar to most as a beautiful, simple and very powerful ballad from Adele’s first album, 19. Originally written by Bob Dylan, I think she did a fantastic job of personalising it, and making it sound like one of her own. One of my couples this year have requested that I perform it for their first dance, so I thought it would be cool to capture some of the rehearsal process. With the help of Rebecca Reville (www.rebeccareville.com) filming of the first few run throughs actually evolved into another Live session shoot! So, a cold February night, in Studio G near the MEN Arena, on the old rickety joanna, here is my version of ‘Make You Feel My Love’: Let me…
